The Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts will organize a seminar for the Foundation’s Architecture Awards tomorrow, Monday, in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
Held under the theme “Reflections on the Farouk Hosny Foundation Art Prizes for Architecture”, the seminar will be hosted at the Cairo campus of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
Professor Aleya Abd El-Hady, Member of the Board of Directors of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts, will review the objectives of the foundation, alongside Riham El-Moghraby, Head of Business Development of the Foundation , who will talk about the various activities of the foundation. .
In addition, Professor Sohier Hawas, member of the prize jury, will express the importance of the prize and its positive impact on promising architects.
In addition, architect Hamdy El-Setouhy, a member of the awards jury, will reflect the essence of the competition and its importance in creating opportunities for emerging architects to showcase their visions and ideas.
After that, participants will give brief presentations of their various projects such as Hope Domes, “IL Moltaka”, “Domes of Hope”, “The Center of Life: Luxor” and others.
The seminar will also include a discussion on the shortlisted works of the prize, entitled “The Center of Life” as a new form of public building that organizes different activities dedicated to education, culture and knowledge, and the importance of these activities to be more connected to society and integrated to face current and future global challenges.
This seminar is part of the foundation’s plan to hold more events throughout the year alongside its annual art awards to keep the channel of communication and creativity open with artists and innovators.
