The Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts organized a seminar on Monday under the theme “Reflections on the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Architecture 2022 Art Prizes”.
Held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the event was part of the academy’s discussion series titled “Beyond the Boardroom.
The foundation aims to encourage promising architects to showcase their groundbreaking ideas and visions for the future of integral buildings that meet the educational and cultural needs of society, while supporting the development goal of the community and reflecting its identity. .

The Director of the Architecture Department of the Academy, Professor Sherif El Fekki, the member of the Board of Directors of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts, Professor Aleya Abd El-Hady, and the member of the jury of the Prize, Professor Sohier Hawas, attended the event, alongside the Foundation’s Business Development Manager, Riham. El-Moghraby, and architect and award jury member Hamdy El-Setouhy who chaired the discussion.
In addition, groups of students and staff from the academy attended the seminar.
During the seminar, the participants made a presentation of their various projects and their visions and ideas beyond.
Several projects were presented such as Hope Domes, “IL Moltaka”, “Domes of Hope”, “The Center of Life: Luxor” and others.
In addition, the participants thanked the foundation for giving them the opportunity to express themselves and giving them the space to introduce revolutionary and creative topics.
