This posting establishes a pool of candidates to fill temporary non-permanent lecturer positions. This posting does not necessarily reflect a current open position. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester by semester, as teaching needs arise. This temporary pool of speakers is expected to remain continuously active until December 2023, when all applications will be removed from the pool. Candidates will be invited to apply to future pools after this date.

Job Emphasis:
The Department of Landscape Architecture at the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado at Denver is seeking a panel of lecturers from whom future nominations will be made. Instructors selected from this pool will teach within the framework of the College’s graduate program. Courses taught can range from three to six credit hours and can include lectures, seminars, and studios in all delivery modes (in-person, hybrid, online, distance learning).

Salary and benefits:
The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at:

$5,454 for a 3-hour credit course.
$8,080 for a 6-hour credit course.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The salary range (or hiring scale) above represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range at the time of posting.

This part-time appointment is not eligible for group health, life insurance or retirement benefits.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    A master’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field, or a terminal degree and expertise in course content is required.

Preferred qualifications:

    Preference may be given to applicants with previous teaching experience, a record of professional practice in landscape architecture, and a professional degree in a related field. Candidates for courses dealing with specific subjects are also considered according to the needs of the course; in this case, they must have a higher degree or proven expertise in the field. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of the field of landscape architecture and/or the subject they will be teaching. Individuals with multidisciplinary training and expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.
