We are currently looking for a full-time manager with at least 10-15 years old of design experience on landscape architecture projects where he/she can lead the creative process. This individual will work and direct a full range of assignments in the delivery of all phases of the landscape architecture project and construction administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, modify and revise landscape architecture project drawings
  • Collaborate with principals in concept development and business research and development
  • Design and review preliminary site plans and concept-level development packages
  • Prepare schematics, design development and construction documents for projects
  • Work with the Construction and Landscape Management Divisions with all landscape architecture issues
  • Prepare graphics and illustrative material to present to community organizations and planning/design commissions
  • Resolve approval requirements with municipal agencies and local utility companies
  • Prepare, review and approve landscape architecture deliverables in accordance with workshop quality control protocols
  • Serve as project manager on planning and construction projects
  • Train and provide professional mentorship to landscape architecture staff and/or others within the organization
  • Create a design studio with a team of landscapers
  • Communicate effectively with customers and engineers on all components of a project’s execution
  • Act as an inspector and reviewer of plans
  • Ensure compliance with approved budgets and achievement of project/department milestones/objectives
  • Oversee the development of outdoor spaces and physical environments
  • Develop site and landscape plans, 3D renderings, prepare estimates, order materials, and perform landscaping work
  • Supervise the preparation of proposals; participate in interviews and public presentations
  • Modeling and rendering Architectural projects, planning, models and design concepts

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or professional degree in landscape architecture
  • Licensed as a Professional Landscape Architect preferred
  • The candidate must present a solid experience in residential and single-family projects
  • Experience leading master planning, site design, construction documentation and management teams
  • Must have a strong portfolio that demonstrates appropriate leadership on all aspects of design in the landscape architecture space, including successful experience navigating and interacting with planning boards and review boards
  • Proficiency in architectural design software including AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Sketch-up, V-Ray and Adobe Suite. Knowledge of GIS is helpful and Revit experience is preferred
  • Understand project requirements and development of design concepts
  • Experience in client relationship building, marketing and business development
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, colleagues, regulators or members of the business community while effectively presenting information to customers, colleagues and the public
  • Proven tax accountability and responsibility, and understanding of market forces with respect to fees, scope and timing requirements
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Excel and Project
  • Work well as a team with lead designers and project managers
  • Conceptual design experience through development of design and construction documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while possessing professional communication skills
  • Must be a well-organized person with strong conceptual, graphic and design skills
  • Demonstrates a reliable understanding of the relationship between design and constructability
